The Seattle Times Company was founded by Alden Blethen in 1896. It has headquarters in Seattle. The company also has a joint operating agreement with the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a separately owned newspaper, in which The Seattle Times Company manages the Post-Intelligencer s advertising, production, circulation and marketing operations.
