Provided by YP.comMy ex-boyrfiend and I used to frequent The Central and while I will say that it's nice to have a bar in Seattle that you can literally roll out of bed and go to, you can expect that others will be doing the same! If people don't look disgustingly unhygenic, then they are probably the super skanky cougars decked out in pleather in the hopes of meeting their biker soulmate! Rats are part of the scene, trust me, I almost burst into tears one night when i saw one up on the ledge above the bar! The bartenders will just tell you they're part of Pioneer Square, but I have yet to see any of those little things running through any of the other clubs in the area including directly next door at Crimson! By the way, watch out for fights between the 2 clubs' patrons. I don't know who thought that putting a hip-hop dance club directly next to a hard-core biker bar with heavy metal was a good idea....but it's not!!! I almost got punched in the face once if it hadn't been for my ex! This place definetely has a specific clientele...you either fit it or you don't!

Provided by YP.comI am afraid and disappointed to say that the Central does not know how to care for their customers. I was sitting with a nice young gent who bolted for the door when he realized that a rat ran under his feet from the kitchen. Luckily, the rat of less that 10 inches, but larger that seven, decided to return to the kitchen after his scare with people.
I really liked the Central despite this occurrence, and decided to spend my Halloween there with others. Unfortunately, my friends were asked to leave, WITHOUT ANY OBSTRUCTION OF PEACE, after they were over-served...an embarrassing experience, and as a professional bartender, I can say that the "ladies" of Central lack professionalism and true training as to how to serve people. They over-serve people and then kick them out instead of dealing with the repercussions.
Understandable (fear), but irresponsible (fear). Get educated, bitches.
I know this bar has some history, but I think the rats are the only ones who know it. I give it three stars for their attention to Newcastle and Stella on tap...and that is it.
