History Established in 1983. The Mitered Corner, established in 1983, is a family owned and operated custom picture framing business in the Seattle area. Our goal is to provide the best possible framing service for each customer in a relaxed atmosphere. We are committed to the use of fine quality materials, craftsmanship, and knowledgeable design. Our business has continued to grow over the years through our faithful customers and their referrals. Our store is bright, open, a bit old fashioned, and filled with natural light. We have ample free parking and are a short commute from downtown Seattle, West Seattle, Burien, Des Moines, Renton, Beacon Hill and many other communities. In fact, our customers are so loyal that many continue to send their framing to us even when they have moved to other states. Meet the Business Owner Terry is a dedicated artist and designer who loves to make your artwork shine! Terry has been working in the framing industry for thirty seven years. She first opened the store in 1983 after running another framing business for 6 years. Terry earned her Certified Picture Framer (CPF) designation in 1987 and was recertified in 2009. She has been active in the Professional Picture Framers Association, The Evergreen Picture Framers Guild, FACTS and other organizations for most of her framing career. She has won several framing competition awards for her designs and has written a number of framing related articles for the trade.
