Thanks to WA center for pain I can finally finish college. They weren't intimidated (or exasperated) by my long list of symptoms, meds or doctors, and when I had a medical emergency in their office they handled it perfectly. Without their help I wouldn't have been able to tolerate the treatments I need to keep my med probs from taking over my life. I see both Dr Hong and Reed, who've always been very nice and patient even if I'm anxious or disorganized and like to complain.

The first visit with Pain Docs can be a little weird. There are all these regulations (I blame Michael Jackson) so it can feel strange answering a ton of background-check type questions. And nowadays everyone is going to ask about mental health, its part of the "treat the whole person" trend. And my insurance didn't want to pay but finally did.

The goal at WCPM is to find a long-term strategy: they kept working with me until we found a good way to manage my treatment.

HORRIBLE !!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to the Lacey Clinic and the Dr is rude and does not believe in opiates. He kept pushing Suboxone even after I tried it and had an allergic reaction to it. They wanted to do genetic testing on me so the receptionist looked up my insurance and said it would be covered so I did it, and guess what? I got a bill in the mail for $5000 because my insurance denied it saying they don't cover it. The Doctor's office is a In-Network provider for me but apparently the place that they sent my blood tests to is not so I got another $3000 bill. I refuse to pay these bills and they can send me to collections if they want. They are a bunch of money seeking con artists that only want money and don't care about their patients. If you like to spend thousands of dollars for for no reason then go here otherwise save your money and go to a real doctor.

Emergency pain med refill

I'm a patient of Dr. Zhu's who had to go out of state as my dad was having brain surgery. I knew before leaving Washington that I would run out of my pain meds and attempted to get pills for the number of days I would need covered. I was informed by his office that he would be unable to write Ca script in advance as I was not yet due pills. Once was down to two pills and needed my hydrocodone refilled while still out of state I contacted his office again only to be told he couldn't write a script because another state would not accept it. I contacted the pharmacy in the state I was in (Illinois ) who told me they fill out of state scripts all the time. I also called Walgreens in Washington who said yes it could certainly be done and in fact said to just have him fax a script to them for the number of days I would be gone and they could enter it in the computer and then Walgreens in Illinois could fill it. So once again I called Dr. Zhu's office again who repeated that he could not write a script to be filled by another state and when I asked to speak with a nurse was told I would have to wait for a call back!

this doctors office is the worst place ive ever been to! they are rude and dont work with u on schedueling. if u are planing on being a suboxon patient do not go here! it will end up costing you WAY to much money there are other places that can do it for cheaper and are way nicer about the program and getting you help. this will end up costing you around 300 bucks a week for the first 2 months. because they will want to see you every week if not twice a week. other places dont do that. I ended up transfering to a different doctor because they called me a day before my apt and said i needed to come in at a different time and day and said they wouldnt write me a script for the days that i would be out of my meds. said i had to just tough it out. which if anyone knows what its like to be without your meds on this certain program they would know that it isnt good. and i ended up relapsing because i had to wait to get my med records transfered over to a new doctor. and of couse they messed around with that for about a month just to be spitefull. so whatevery you do DO NOT go here.

I was barely able to walk or sleep due to how much pain I was in. After treatment with Dr. Hong, I can now live my life again due to the dramatic decrease in pain..
