First, let me say I absolutely love this hotel. It's clean and modern with nice, roomy rooms and I love the location near UW and the fact that they have bikes you can borrow. We stayed here for the 4th of July weekend and had a blast. My only complaint is a fairly big one, but they did try to correct the situation after the fact. We had reserved a king room and got in early in the day. The rooms understandeably weren't ready but we confirmed that we would be all set with a king room. After a long day of sight seeing, we arrived back at the hotel around 10 and were informed that they had no king rooms and all they had was a double. We complained to the front desk and talked to the manager on the phone and they were not at all apolgetic about the situation. We got fed up and stayed the rest of the weekend. When I got back home, I sent a note to the hotel explaining the situation and the poor service and they responded in kind with a letter and voucher for a free night. It was a decent effort at making up for their mistake but it should have been handled when we were there. I never made it back to Seattle to use our free night.
