A deep faith in God drew Sameh Atalla, MD, to the medical field. It also guides his work providing compassionate, comprehensive surgical care for patients ages 18 and up for over 30 years. His driving force is the Golden Rule: always treat you the way he would treat his own loved ones. Dr. Atalla is board certified in general surgery, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, is the chair of AdventHealth’s department of surgery and has been named one of America’s Top Surgeons by the Consumers’ Research Council of America. He specializes in minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery to address colorectal disorders, hernias and other general surgery conditions. Always one for a game of skill, Dr. Atalla is an avid chess player. He also enjoys swimming, traveling and watching soccer.
