Provided by YP.comMy old hunting buddy of 42 years and myself are finally back in Dallas County. We've hunted (Bridgeport Park, East Bank, West Bank - Corp of Engineers Land in Camden), Pleasant Hill, Minter, Tyler, Lowndes Co WMA, and Brookie Kings old place beside the Riverdale Papermill. We recently got a small hunting lease within 6 miles of the Tally-Ho. While making some trips to Selma to eat we noticed the Tally-Ho sign on County Road 37. We were not sure what it was at first, but we did know it was getting harder to find a place to eat in Selma. I just Googled TALLY HO SELMA, AL and pulled up the menu and history of the Tally-Ho. I'm chomping at the bit to go there and start experincing what I expect to be some of the finest food ever while on a hunting trip. Should be by there within the next week. Will post actual results on next review. For now I must give a 5 just to be fair. Stay Tuned...

Provided by YP.comYes, I asked the owner, Bob Kelley, to show me his kitchen. I have live and travelled all over the world and sometimes you go into the kitchen so see what's cooking because sometimes you just don't know what the words for goat head and chicken are and I have never yet ordered the goat head. I had no problem understanding the escargot or the Tally Ho's menu and they do a fabulous escargot with garlic butter, sour cream and chives, uumm. Their stakes may not be Morton's 28 day aged but they are surely good enough that you don't know the difference. Who da thunk that in Selma, Alabama, a thriving metopolis of maybe 25,000 or so, that one would find a restaurant that serves a blackend Snapper that can stand up to Chef K'Paul's in N'Orleans but then the Tally HO adds shrimp and Hollandais sauce on top of it. Thas some good eatin' it is!
But I go for the Crab Claws and an imported beer in the bar. It's not my fault that I usually have to stay for dinner too. Enjoy yourselves, I have!

Provided by YP.comI have been a patron of Tally Ho for over 30 years.
I go there everytime I want to splurge when I am in Selma, because I know I can get the best steak that Selma has to offer, along with the best atmosphere. Do not go to Mutt's; only real Mutts should go there.
