New Owner as of 2008

I have been going to this bike shop for years. It had one owner for 26 years, the the second owner for about 5 years. Now new owner in 2008. Store has a new look to it , much cleaner and more organized. The prior owner sold mostly BMX bikes. Now they sell 3 wheelers and beach cruises, multi speed bikes. More accessories and they still do repairs. No employees just the owner.

Horrible Service and Just Plain Rude

I visited this store before Christmas 2006 looking for a gift for my boyfriend. I wanted a little tool kit for him to carry while he was mountain biking. I asked the man working, and his response was, "we have bike tools, but no kit" and he laughed at me. I ended up buying a little portable tire inflater, even though everyone there was rude and wouldn't help me find anything. I went to another bike store in clearwater and found just the kit I was looking for, and it included an inflater. So, I returned to Bike Pros to take back the one I bought there (which was the same price as the whole kit was at the other store). When I told the owner I had found want I wanted at another shop, he practically yelled, "Well thanks for going to (name of other shop)." Then he slammed a $20.00 bill down on the counter and walked away. When I started to leave, I decided to let him know how rude him and his employees were and I told him I would never be back to his store again. He then screamed at me to get out before he called the police! Now, I have no idea why he acted like that, but just to let you know I'm a 22 year old girl. I don't know much about bikes, so I guess he didn't see the value of my business. My advice is to never go to this store, even if you are a professional biker. I really don't know how they stay in business with their attitude towards customers.

This customer has really stretched the truth here. Originally we did not have what she wanted but I could order it for her and have it in a day or so, but she was not happy that we did not have exactly what she wanted in stock. There are ALOT of bicycle related items and me, being a smaller shop, I can't keep as much in stock as the other store she went to. Also, I have no employees and I dont know where she got the wrong fact but just trying to make me look bad. I told her our store policy is store credit only and she got very upset I would not return her money in full, after the fact she had opened the packaging the item she did purchase and destroyed the factory packaging. I deny I yelled at her but to make her happy I did give her a cash return and she still was not happy. I bent the store policy just for her but I guess everyone has a bad day so I say god bless her and I am sorry she feels the way she does.
