This is a great place to eat when visiting the Smokie Mountains. We love the atmosphere and the food. There can be a pretty good wait but it's worth it.

We always eat here whenever we are in the area. Their breakfast is delicious. Prices are decent and the service is always the best.

Great prices, really good food, and good service! The best place we've eaten in town. Portions are large too. Gotta stop here if your in the area.

Tourist prices; horrible food

Our family made reservations for Thanksgiving day. We were seated almost an hour after our reservation. The food was served "family style" - after the salad we got bowls/platters of mashed potatotes, green beans, gravy, turkey and stuffing (it was supposed to be cornbread dressing), ham, roast beef and yeast rolls. The mashed potatoes and gravy were made from instant/mixes. The green beans were not seasoned, the turkey tasted like something from the grocery store deli, I've had better stuffing from Stovetop, it had no cornbead at all in it, in fact the only thing I could really tell that was in it was moist bread. The yeast rolls were decent but they did not come to the table hot and the butter was so cold (like freezer cold) - there was no way it would melt. After I tried to cut the roast beef and failed (too tough) I finally just gave up and pushed my plate to the side. The cobbler was good and was the only thing that came to the table hot. I almost fainted when I got our bill- $62.00 for two adults, we had to pay extra for our tea and of course gratuity was included since we had a large party. I was so disappointed and angry!

My husband and I ate at the same place about 15 years ago when it was the "Apple Barn" restaurant, we ordered off of the menu and as I recall the food was very good. I'm not sure if it's new owners or what but my husband and I will never, ever come back to this restaurant again. I would have enjoyed the Waffle House better than that food!
