I have been using Aspen Dental in Sevierville for about 5 years now. The prices were a little lower than other Dentist I have seen in the past (I am on a fixed income) and they provided good service...until today. I noticed a lot of new employees in the office and after my cleaning, I was informed that I needed a deep cleaning, which was expensive and required 4 more visits (I could not afford this on my income). But then, they did something I have never had a dentist do to me in my life, they tried to Blackmail Me, by saying that if I did not pay and have the deep cleaning done...they would not be able to see me anymore. Needless to say I am now looking for a new Dentist.

All employees were super nice and helpful. Had a Cleaning done. Amber was terrific. She was gentle and personable. I would recommend this Office to all my family and friends.

I had been to you about a year ago for extraction. Loved the dentist. Then yesterday September 14 I walked in and ask when I could get a tooth pulled. I explained that I had broken a tooth and was in pain. Also explained that I had been off my blood thinners for 6 days and had taken antibiotics in advance. I explained about how I couldn't go much longer without Plavix for fear of stroke. The receptionist plainly told me they didn't have anything toil sometime in October and couldn't work me in, that she was sorry and hopefully I could find another dentist. Your ad says walk in welcome and in case of emergency would work you in. How much more of an emergency could I have? So disappointed.

I have no idea if the actual dental work they perform is good, bad or somewhere in between. I can tell you, if it is anything like the insane process to even schedule an appointment, it must be horrible. I have tried for several weeks to schedule a new patient visit with Apsen Dental. I started by calling the local number and asking if they are in network with my insurance, they stated that they are in network and accepting new patients. I then followed the instructions to schedule a new patient appointment via the website. I did that, choosing the first available date that was about a month out. I was unable to make that appointment so I called the office to reschedule; the woman that answered the phone rescheduled my for another 2 weeks out. The day before my appointment, when they called to confirm, I was asked about my insurance and then told that the dentist has not been certified by my insurance and is therefore not in network but should be in the next 2 - 3 months. I decided to proceed with the appointment given that I am overdue for a 6 month cleaning and have already waited for over a month. The day of the appointment, i was contacted by another person stating that I had somehow booked myself into a time slot that is triple booked and that she was moving my appointment to be 2 hours later. I let her know that didn't work as I do have children to pick up at that time of the day. After more conversation, I was informed (for the first time, despite multiple conversations with the Aspen Dental staff) that the first appointment is simply to look at my teeth, take x-rays and THEN determine a course of action and then schedule a cleaning for some later date. Beware when attempting to become an Aspen Dental patient - plan far far in advance and expect very little.

This dental office was great. It was a really clean and organized building. The whole staff was very friendly and professional. They were all very knowledgable from the front desk to the dental assistant. I went in for a cleaning and was taken care of & seen quickly. They also have really up to date equipment that makes the process go smoother than many other dental offices I've been to.
