Please come in and see what we have to offer. The owner's family is now running it and we couldn't be prouder. Our food and care is 2nd to none. We have full time Ministry here too. With 24 hour nursing, security, caregivers, and beautiful surroundings on the Little Pigeon River, Mountain Brook Village is a like a loving family in so many ways. Our prices are super inexpensive with no additional add-on fees. We are Choices approved and can help many love ones afford the dream of a great Assisted Living.

Jimmy K, We are sorry about this review getting to us so late. As you know, it is resolved now as we were going to replace the TV even though it was no fault of MBV as the TV was placed in a spot that was in the way of doorway. Your brother is so loved at MBV and was welcomed back with open arms after his Rehab. He expressed how he was so thankful to be here and taken care of.

What used to be quite a nice place has taken a downhill turn in the past several years. While there are still some very caring people that work here, the upper management has made changes that make this a place I would not recommend for anyone for their loved ones! The food, which was never great, is normally served room temperature, if not cold, overcooked, bland & very repetitive. They had (still have?) employees taking turns cooking & when the "dietician" or head of the kitchen was approached about the food temperature problem, she became instantly defensive & rather nasty. Second portions were often denied (portions are quite small) & while I understand that a lot of seniors don't eat much, the folks that work here should know who needs more food & accommodate them.
Medication in the earlier years was spot on, but mistakes in giving meds were made more frequently in the past few years. This is more than dangerous, but it was "looked into"... and nothing was addressed. Being given someone else's medication can be deadly. So can running out of a med for a resident. That's supposed to be handled with the importance that goes with distributing meds.. not with a flippant attitude & denials.
Even little niceties like having balloons, a hat & a small cake for a residents' birthday was stopped. It used to bring so much joy to the folks living there, but whether in the effort to save a penny or just a lack of caring for their residents, the management is only interested in lording over everything & everyone!
Unfortunately, the state of TN does not have any regulations on assisted living facilities, so nothing could be done to address these concerns... save talking to management, which yielded no results & no changes. Please ask around beside deciding on Mountainbrook Village as a home for your loved ones, there are much nicer & more competently run places nearby...compare & beware!
