The eye doctor here is a creep. he was asking me weird personal questions that didnt have anything to do with an eye exam. i will never be back. what a freak

Dr. Lane is as good as any hometown doctor as long as, an I know this is hard for a lot of people, you don't act like you know more than he does. I've been seeing him for years and I have never once had a problem with my script or the serves. Seriously the only trouble I have with him is when he gets upset at me for wearing my contacts to long. An as long as I've been going there I have NEVER seen him or the staff argue with a customer in store or on the phone. And the most important thing when he talks to you about your sight you actually understand it, he will dumb it down as much as need be where other doctors won't, I've seen him dumb it way down.

Dr. Lanes Payless Optical is not in any way affiliated with THE Payless Optical in Knoxville. Dr. Lane needs to come up with his own name instead of stealing the name from his previous employer. The ORIGINAL Payless Optical in Knoxville’s staff, service and free frame selection is awesome!

VERY DISAPPOINTED/DO NOT TAKE YOU OR YOUR FAMILY HERE
TO DR LANE AND HIS STAFF,
I DO NOT EXPECT AN APOLOGY BUT I WANT OTHERS TO KNOW HOW I WAS TREATED. I AM VERY APPALLED BY YOU AND THE RECEPTIONIST. I BELIEVE IN HONEST CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEWS. I HATE TO POST THIS...I DO NOT WANT OTHERS TO HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE.
THE RECEPTIONIST MUST BE A FAMILY MEMBER TO DR LANE BECAUSE DR LANE DOES NOT CARE HOW THE RECEPTIONIST TREATS THE CUSTOMERS. I GUESS YOU GET THE QUALITY DR AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH THEIR BOGO. DO NOT GO TO THIS EYE DOCTOR. THE STAFF AND THE DOCTOR JUST WANT YOUR MONEY AND THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU. I HAVE NEVER HEARD A DR OF OPTOMETRY OR A DR OF ANY SORT TO SPEAK AGAINST THEIR CUSTOMERS AND TO CALL ME AND IDIOT DIRECTLY. "MAM WE DEAL WITH A LOT OF IDIOTS ALL DAY!" -DR, “SIR, ARE YOU CALLING ME AN IDIOT?"-ME "YES, I AM!" -DR., I AM HIGHLY APPALLED AT DR LANES COMMENTS TO ME ON THE PHONE TODAY AND THE GENTLEMAN THAT IS MID 30S- 40S BEING A RECEPTIONIST IS ABSOLUTELY RUDE. HE IS VERY SPITEFUL. MY HUSBAND HAD CALLED AND COMPLAINED TO CASEY ON THE RECEPTIONIST AND I HAVE SPOKE TO THE OPTOMETRIST NOW ABOUT IT AS WELL. WOW, I WOULD NOT LET MY FAMILY OWN BUSINESS / CO WORKERS SPEAK TO ANY PATIENT THAT WAY. THE ONLY THING I ASKED FOR TODAY IS IF MY P.D. WAS RECORDED ON MY MEDICAL RECORDS... THE RECEP SAID THEY DO NOT RECORD P.D. ON PAPER; NOR WOULD THE DR GIVE IT TO ME. I BOUGHT TWO PAIRS OF EYE GLASSES FROM THEM AND THEN THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME MY P.D. AFTER I HAVE MY GLASSES. . I AM APPALLED THEY DO NOT KEEP ADEQUATE MEDICAL RECORDS. I DEFINITELY WILL NEVER BE GOING HERE AGAIN. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A DR OR ANY PLACE WHO DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH.
I HAD TO TELL THE RECEPTIONIST I WOULD SEND A CERTIFIED LETTER ASKING TO SPEAK TO THE OPTOMETRIST IF I DID NOT GET TO SPEAK TO THE OPTOMETRIST. THE OPTOMETRIST CALLED ME BACK TODAY AND HE WAS SO RUDE. I ASKED HIM IF HE COULD GIVE ME MY P.D AND YOU WOULD HAVE THOUGHT I WAS ASKING FOR NARCOTICS THE WAY HE WAS ACTING. I WAS ASKING FOR THE DISTANCE BETWEEN MY PUPILS AND HE WAS THROWING A FIT ON ME. HE KEPT SAYING, "MAM YOU ARE NOT GETTING THAT FROM ME!"- DR REALLY IT IS RIDICULOUS YOU GO TO AN EYE DOCTOR AND THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU NOR GIVE YOU ANY RECORDS THAT THEY USED IN MAKING YOUR FRAMES OR LENSES. I AM GETTING MY MEDICAL RECORDS FROM THIS PLACE AND NEVER GOING HERE AGAIN. APPARENTLY, THEY HAVE NO BUSINESS SKILLS... THEY NEED TO LOOK UP, “WORD OF MOUTH MARKETING!”
IF THE RECEPTIONIST AND THE OPTOMETRIST HATE PEOPLE AND THEIR JOBS; PLEASE SWITCH OCCUPATIONS, IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO START OVER AND TO ENJOY LIFE!!!
CASEY IS THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. I AM ASKING FOR ALL CHRISTIANS TO PRAY FOR THIS COMPANY AND THEIR WORKERS.

I DID NOT GET MY PRESCRIPTION WHEN I FIRST GOT MY EYE EXAM EITHER (MONTHS LATER I AM HAVING TO FIGHT FOR IT); I KNOW YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO RECEIVE IT ON YOUR FIRST VISIT.
BE FOR WARNED: THEY DO NOT TEL YOU THESE UNTIL YOU GET YOUR RECEIPT:

DO NOT GO TO THIS "DOCTOR." He fitted my wife for contacts and took her outside to let her see in the distance. He told her if she had a problem with them she could bring them back at no charge. The receptionist refused to honor the doctor's agreement. She paid $40 for the visit and $35 for the trial contacts.
When she got home the contacts began to give her problems. The next morning we called the doctor to see about coming back and getting glasses. When she went to see him and get glasses he became very rude and obnoxious. She got frustrated by his abusive arrogant attitude and went to get up out of the exam chair and the dr. rudely pushed her back into the chair. She called out for me and the dr. backed off. She stepped out into the lobby and he stood there arguing with her refusing to refund her money and refusing to give her the prescription for eyeglasses. He wanted her to buy glasses from him. After arguing with him he relented and gave her the prescription. He's the worst
