Seward High is an educational institute that serves more than 185 students in grades 9 through 12. The school provides instruction in math, reading, science, art, Spanish and social studies, as well as manages a library and site council. It operates a parent-teacher-student association that works for student welfare. Seward High also publishes a newsletter, Seahawk News, which features information related to upcoming events. The school provides special education programs and guidance counseling, health care and food solutions. In addition, it encourages students to take part in a selection of sports activities, such as basketball and skiing. Seward High is managed by the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District.
