Shawn West, MD, MSc, is a pediatric cardiologist at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. West received his medical degree from Augusta University Medical College of Georgia, after which he completed his pediatric residency there. Subsequently, Dr. West completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Virginia, earning a master's degree in Clinical Research from the University of Virginia at the same time. Following fellowship, he pursued advanced training in heart transplant, heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and advanced mechanical support at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
