In 2013 we purchase a new Forrest River Cherokee Patriot 28BH model.

In May 2014 we picked up the new RV 32ft travel trailer and had some issues

with the camper. When we picked it up the power tongue jack did not work or just

quit working so we could not get it off the truck. Luckily we were just doing a load test with our new 2012 Ford F150 5.0L V8 Supercrew pickup.

They were very nice to me and my wife and son and said they have it fix the following Friday to pick it up. They had it ready and we got it towed to our seasonal spot for the summer. We opened up the new RV trailer and found the new Linoleum was cracked 12 x 12" inches due to -40 degree winter. So we called them and they said they would fix it this summer. We setup a service date for July and brought it back.

They had it for two weeks in prime camping season and didn't have it ready for July 18th for our family reunion / pool party. so we were disappointed with the service call and not being ready made us change our plans. We got it back and found they did not replace the 30 foot floor with the new Linoleum that the parts manager ordered as promised.

Instead they went ahead to patch. glue the original floor without calling us. They kept it a week longer than expected and didn't complete the work they said they would do and replace the entire floor. The office manager Dale said it would be 10 hours to replace it and instead just patched it.

Then when we picket it up they did something to the slide out. It poked the linoleum floor by the AV/ TV stand and left a mark about the size of a tennis ball.

We showed them before we left to take it back to our seasonal spot.

They said we would have to pay the $100 gas and bring it back end of the season.

That was about it. I was upset. I was done with the issues on a brand new RV I like the workers and the employees try to do the right thing and fix things but they don't have the skills to repair RVs. Limited service ability. They don't stand behind the warranty or want to deal with you after the sale. :-(

We ended up trading it off instead of trying to get the floor fixed every time it ripped or cracked. I don't think the Forrest River Cherroke model is a good quality RV.

Save your money and buy another brand, We bought a new 2014 Dutchman Aspen Trail and save about $10,000 over another Forrest River Surveyor Model for the same quality and class Travel trailer.

I would not recommend them for any RV work or purchases. Stay away.
