The DQ in Shakopee off 169 and 21 is disgusting! I went in there for the first time and I will urge everyone I know to never eat from this restaurant! I ordered my blizzard, and went to the womanâs restroom. There was no toilet paper in any of the three stalls. A roll of paper was strewn across the floor, in an unusable manner. The two wall mounts with paper towel to wash your hands were both empty, and the counter was dirty. Upon leaving the restroom, I stopped at the counter to check in with the manager. I was introduced to Chris, who was on his first week of training, and âdidnât know the cleaning schedule for the day.â When I let him know about the no toilet paper or hand towels he replied, âwell, I just got here at 5pm, and I havenât looked at it.â It was 8:36pm when I was in the restaurant. So he was there for 3 hours and to his knowledge, no cleaning had been done for the day. It was obvious no cleaning was done. I pointed out the railing, to usher guest through, was sticky to the touch. His reply to the stickiness was, âthere isnât anything I can do about it.â Pretty poor attitude for a manager. The entire time I was discussing the shape of the restaurant, he never made eye contact with me, he looked to the left the entire time. His response to it all was, âunless there is an inspection, we donât worry about it.â I started noticing the rest of the restaurant after that comment. There was food splattered all the way up the wall by the blizzard station, and the floor was covered in a black film. None of the blizzard blenders were cleaned between use, and the prep station was filthy. Old fruit that had fallen out while scooping just laid there getting mixed in with fresh food. The floors under the prep station were covered in old soft serve cream, and the machine was leaking everywhere. The counter where customers pick up their food had crumbs in the corner of the glass that were rotten and moldy. Needless to say, we did not eat our food, I would never eat there again. There is more I havenât listed, but I have taken pictures of the floors, walls, and machines, and I will definitely be showing my friends and family to keep them away from this health hazard of a restaurant.
