Provided by YP.comMy wife's family has been taking their cars to this shop for years, and maybe they treat longstanding customer's better than new ones, because I've gone there twice and will never go again.
The first time, I just needed some diagnostics, a blinker replaced, and my oil changed. They didn't manage to do the the oil change at all, tried to force me to do $1700 of different repairs at once rather than splitting them up (we didn't do the repairs and eventually told them that we would be taking it somewhere else if they couldn't split them, and then they could suddently split them), and left the door to my fuse box and the ash tray from my center console just lying on the passenger seat. Really sloppy.
I took it back a second time because I'm new to the area and don't know a better mechanic, and because I trust my wife's family's judgement, but again, they gave poor service. As I was waiting in the lobby for my wife to pick me up while they worked on my breaks, I heard one of the mechanics tell a manager that 2 of my bearings had fallen apart (the bearings needing replacing hadn't come up on the previous diagnostic visit less than a month ago). The manager shot a weird look at me and went in the back. Later, when they my wife and I about the car, they told us the bearings would need to be replaced because they 'just fell apart', and that they'd do us a favor and only charge us for the bearings rather than the labor. Frankly, I don't know why I'm getting charged for parts they broke anyway.
Not going back again.

Provided by YP.comHey - want to EFF up your car? Visit Brian at Heartland Goodyear... he'll make a mess, overcharge you for it, and pile all the remaining parts in your trunk and park your undriveable car in the mud unlocked! We took pictures. Labor here costs over $100 an hour, and we were NOT quoted for a major repair (which Brian said was absolutely necessary to make our car run... the manager told us later that they could have done a one of two step fix instead of the "mandatory" two step fix that Brian led us to believe). Parts and labor at Heartland for secondary repair were quoted as $1400, and when we called around, we found a reputable mechanic who could do the same parts and labor for $700!!! That was a surprise quote on top of the already $2500 in repairs they were working on. But they couldn't tell us about that secondary repair until they had racked up $1300 in labor costs (13 hours... suspicious because they hadn't had it that many business hours). This place is nothing but SHADY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS... seriously, because they charge ALL COSTS!

Provided by YP.comWe have used Heartland Tire & Service since we moved to Shakopee 8 years ago. They are honest and do not recommend a service you don't need. They've even offered a 'home' solution to try prior to them diagnosing, which saved me over $100! When oil changes, repairs or tires are needed, their prices are competitive and their work is thorough.
