Provided by YP.comMy husband and two children (3 years and 4 months) stayed for two nights at the Golden Arrow Motel. The rate for each night was $44.95 which included tax. It was worth every penny, but I don't think I would have paid much more. The motel has ten rooms. Only four are non-smoking. We made last minute reservations and got a smoking room, but they warned us that was all that was available. The room had two double beds that were comfortable. Each bed had only two pillows - we each sleep with two per person at home - so it would have been nice to have had some extra (our second night we did ask and they were able to give us one extra). One thing that was great was that the sheets felt extremely clean. There was also a heavier blanket (kind of scratchy) under the bedspread. In general, the beds were suitable. The walls in our room were wood paneling, the carpet was a reddish shag. You could see that it had recently been vacuumed, but it still looked somewhat dirty (ex. I wouldn't lay my baby on it). There was a night stand, a desk and chair, another single chair and a large two drawer dresser in the room along with a full length mirror. The drawers all had little crumb looking specs in them. I don't mind because I never use the furniture in motels/hotels, but if you do that is something to think about. The room had a TV with cable (thank goodness that SpongeBob tuned in) and a wall-mounted air conditioner that worked well. The bathroom floor was covered with a rust colored, very flat style of carpet. There were several cigarette burns on the carpet, probably from stray ashes. The walls were covered with that plastic 70's style material with bamboo sprig designs. The sink, toilet, and shower were all extremely clean (a HUGE plus in my book). The motel provided us with two mini bars of soap, but no other toiletries. The towels were clean, no holes or loose strings. The room was VERY basic and needed to be updated, but was not bad. I would stay there again if I had the need. The woman at the front desk was nice as well. I thought it was a little strange that they were only open from 9a-9p, but they worked around our needs. They made arrangements for us to pick up and leave our room key after/before hours. They were thorough in making sure we had directions to the motel (it is strange because there is no sign - the driveway is between Arby's and Auto Zone) which was conveniently located near restaurants, gas stations, Wal-mart, etc. Overall, it was a good stay. We were looking for a cheap and decent place to stay and we found it.
