Congregation Adath Sharon
18 Harding St, Sharon, MA 02067
Congregation Adath Sharon is the oldest synagogue in Sharon, MA since the 1930's. The history began with the summer and vacationing Jewish families worshiping in private homes near Lake Massapoag. As the congregation grew a permanent synagogue was erected, a colonial style building, on 18 Harding Street. August 2, 1942 was the formal dedication of the synagogue building. Services were conducted only during the summer months. In 1958, as families began to make Sharon their permanent residence, the synagogue opened its doors year-round.
