BROWN SLUDGY WATER!

We stayed at this hotel while passing thru to Yosemite. It was great until we went to shower that night and the water was brown! Not slightly brown, but brown sludge where it stained the sink and tub brown. We couldn't shower, brush teeth, etc. In the morning, we went to the front desk and asked for a discount on the room. We were told the manager would call us. When we went back to get our bags from the room, the maid across the hall very rudely says, "So, are you the ones who complained about the water?" She proceeds to tell us that is how the iron in mountain water is high and if we don't like it, don't come back. I was shocked to hear those words, as well as, the manner and tone with which she is talking to us. We left without hearing a word from the manager, so I emailed the owner a week or so later. The owner stated that his maid was so upset by our discussion and it was our fault. What! Crazy! He refused to give a discount, refund or even apology for the brown water but wrote an entire letter about his maid to me! I don't support business owners who attack customers.

FYI- I contacted the water agency in Shaver and they said it is NOT the iron in the water that makes it brown.
