The food is seriously awesome--the pasta dishes especially. I'm surprised at how high quality the food is overall for how cheap the tab was, honestly. I was expecting just "meh," but it genuinely impressed me.



This'll definitely be a go-to place for Italian on the west side.

I heard of Sorento Rist. from a business client who suggested I judge it for myself. I found a bright and clean establishment with a wait staff that seemed new but performed well. The wine and beer list was more than adequate. The stuffed mushroom appetizer was very good as was the quattro formaggio pizza. We dined here on a Friday at 8pm and business seemed brisk but the wait time for our food was very reasonable. The prices were comparable for the location. No disappointmens and we will visit here again. The standouts were the tiramisu and the "thanks for visiting us" from the management.

Horrible. Waited to be greeted by a server for 10 minutes (who later went on to say she previously served at the original location for 22 years). The sausage was inedible, meatballs were bland, and the tomato sauce looked like it came straight out of a can with absolutely no seasoning added to it. I don't know if the new location has a huge overhead and they are trying to cut costs, but the quality is way down. I'm actually quite pissed off we spent $40 on such garbage.

When my husband and I walked into the new Sorrento location, I could hardly believe we were in Lorain County. This restaurant is nothing short of beautiful. The decor lends warmth and class. Our salads were fresh and the house dressing is great. Pizza is outstanding, and If you want a good meatball, this is your place. Pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauces were close-your-eyes-and-savor good. We are looking forward to our next visit to Sorrento!
