Our dog had never had a profes...

Our dog had never had a professional groomer before, so we didn't know how she would be for her first groom ever. The staff greeted our little Marla and gave her the time needed to feel comfortable in a new place and people. They then showed us what the grooming would entail and how they would go about doing it so she would be at ease and the type of products and drying recommended for her. They then took her and began the grooming process, they clipped her nails without any problems (amazing as she doesn't like her nails clipped), cleaned her ears and brushed her undercoat out. They washed her and dried her and brushed her out again. When I mentioned her tarter buildup on her teeth, Nathan even brushed her teeth for me and showed me how to do it on my own later. Would I take my dog back there, most definately. They truely love the dogs in their care and they will get the products you ask for. It is a very nice place to take your dog to get groomed. Thank you Premier Loving Care for the fantastic way you cared for our Marla!

I am not sure about the truth ...

I am not sure about the truth behind the last review that was given. All I know is that I have never been so happy with the grooming that my three little guys received a few weeks ago. My little shih tzu Buddy has never had such a good hair cut before i was so shocked when i saw him i couldn't believe it!!! I also loved the fact that they took the extra time to work with my 12 year old Jack Russel that had never been professionally done before. He seemed so happy when i got him back you could truly tell he felt so much better. The hair cuts where great the never felt so clean. Their nails are still so short. They even took time to put stuff on my little guys hot spots. He has not bothered it half as much as he usually dose. You really can not beat the prices here either. I am so happy and would tell anyone i know to go to Premier loving Care!

I have never been so disappoin...

I have never been so disappointed with the service I recieved Tuesday. I dropped of my little dog at 9am I was told that he would take 2 1/2 hours! I called at 12:15 and he was just getting on the cutting table.. WHAT? RED FLAG.. so, I said fine call me when he is done and I will pick him up.. 15 mins later they call and told me he was finished and ready to go!! Second RED FLAG.. 35 dollars and they only cut his toe nails. He was not bathed and they clipped around his nose and feet... SO DiSAPPOINTED.... so I called back to see why they never completed the work.. NO RETURN CALLS until today I called back and said that I wanted a refund and my daughter would be in to pick it up. the 49% OWNER said that was fine.. But the 51% owner called back with a very bad attitude. The owner told me that I would need to come and pick the refund up myself and sign a release form that her attorney printed up. "for crazy customers like me"and if I needed a refund because I spent to much money this week I would need to sign that release... seems like she has done this before....I drove 30 miles one way and she thinks I need the money? It should never take 4 hours to groom a yorkie...Makes you wonder what they are doing with your dog? Never one word about being sorry for the bad service ! I will never return to Premier Loving care...

Sep 21,2012 I drove back to Shelbyville for a refund but when I got there I was given some legal papers to sign. Nothing with my dogs name on it.. and said I could only get a refund if I signed. I asked the owner to call 911 at this point, and the police officer that came out was very understanding and told me NOT to sign anything. So this became a civil matter ! I was never made to leave by the police! She lied again. The owner just loves drama. So, at this point I have filed legal action against Premier Loving Care and filed a report to the Better Business Bureau. Something so simple turned so wrong. I'm sorry but right is right and wrong is wrong and charging a customer for a grooming that was not finished is wrong. Only Nic offered to make things right but when Dee heard about this she became bitter and verbally abusive. No customer should have to deal with owners such as these. I'm all about principles and values. So, I learned today that not everyone shares those same values!

Normally my response to a review like this would be to post an offer to do whatever we can to make it right with the customer. This situation, however, didn't get to this point until we had already tried to do that several times with this customer. And, since there is no way to remove a bad review, I will respond to it as completely as I can. Since there was another dog here at the time that unfortunately has severe medical issues that will develop if his schedule is not strictly adhered to - her dog DID take 1/2 hour longer than our longest estimate to be completed. As a result, we discounted the services by $5 WITHOUT BEING ASKED TO when she picked up her pet. In addition, we asked her if the cut looked okay and were told "yes, he looks fine". The customer even tipped the groomer $5 after she saw the haircut. The customer then left. What followed has been honestly astonishing. Several phone calls over a three day period where this customer was abusive and yelling, culminating in a visit to our place of business. Unfortunately, the police had to come to our business to remove her. From our point of view, we went above and beyond trying to satisfy this customer, and we were met with anything but a reasonable response. For those that may still be wondering what we do with their dogs, please allow me to describe our procedure as it relates to what is done in what order on a groom. Our intake procedure is to cut the dog's toenails first, clean the ears, trim feet and other areas, and then (for a Yorkie like the one in this complaint) comb them out completely before we bathe them. Depending on the condition of the dog - the combing out can take a short time or a very long one. If your dog has not been combed in over a month, this is going to take a while. To rush this process causes pain to the animals and we do not place vanity before humanity. They are then dried completely before their finish cut. If your dog is afraid of the quicker, hi-velocity hand dryer, we place them under the quieter, slower, cool-air cage dryers to finish drying. This DOES extend the grooming time, but most of our customers prefer to have their dogs enjoy the grooming process and aren't as worried if it takes a bit longer to make it easier on their pet. Once they are completely dry - they are then brought out to what was referred to in the above review as "the cutting table". The dog in question at this point required a second comb out and trimming of the face. This dog was not a full hair-cut, it was a bath and trim. Therefore, 15 minutes to finish those tasks is very reasonable. It is a shame that all of this happened, and while we wish that we could please everyone, we realize that there will be unreasonable people we have to deal with at times and we will continue to try to respond and make it right whenever we are given the opportunity.

I have been taking my 2 little doggies to PLC since they opened. They are the BEST.!!!! They treat my little ones as if they were theirs. The prices are very reasonable, but your pets get so much more than the prices. To the Dogs its the love they receive from * PREMIER LOVING CARE*.

Thank you Dee and Nathan for coming to Shelbyville.

Wonderful Service

I have been taking my little Shih Tzu to the Dog Wash since I got him last August. He loves to go see the owner and get his hair washed and cut. She is very good with the animals and loves my little dog. He is one of her babies. I tell everyone that asks to take their pet to The Dog Wash. Very friendly atmosphere. Thank you!!
