Provided by YP.comIf I could give this place a negative 10 stars I would! I can't believe this place has the WORST customer service I've witnessed. I have been going on and off for years and ask myself why cause overall the workers do their job and it's close...they can't help it if they work for terrible managers! I spend over $60+ dollars every 2 weeks to get my nails done (UV gel). I recently had an issue with a "new" product which they charged me an extra $20 and it all chipped off. Not only 1 time, or 2 times but 3 times. So when I went back to get them completely redone for the 4th time would you believe they charged me full price. I argued with the manager for over 10 minutes. For the amount of money I have spent there over the years I just really don't feel it was handled properly at all. I've never left a bad review in my life but this just hit a nerve. Also one other comment I have to say are the male employees stink like smoke so bad that when you leave after being handled either for nails or a massage you stink like smoke! Soooo GROSS!! I'm done!

Provided by YP.comI LOVE THIS PLACE IT WAS AMAZING. I had gotten a gift card from here awhile ago and forgot about it and when I went here it was amazing. It is A+++ all the way service was amazing and you even get a free glass of wine while you are getting your pedicure and you also get a message.

Provided by YP.comThe atmosphere is nice. The salon is beautiful inside but you don't come to a salon because it's pretty. I've never been so ill-received and rushed. As far as the "complimentary" massages go, I was ASKED for a tip for both the nail tech and the person that gave me a 2 minute massage. I tip well, but I have never been flat out asked for two tips. It was rude, uncomfortable, and I won't be returning.

Provided by YPmobileBlue Lotus is a gem! Melissa and her team and professional and friendly at every turn. The pedicures are so relaxing and it's very refreshing to have a "no cell phone" area for true relaxation. It's a great place!

Provided by YP.comI heard about Blue Lotus from a friend and she took me the day before Thanksgiving for manicures 2 years ago and I have been going basically every week since. The moment you walk in the door you are greeted by name and feel so welcomed. Melissa is so kind and caring and will go above and beyond anything you need. Her staff is just as amazing. They pamper you from the moment you pick your color through setting you up to dry where you are then massaged to complete relaxation. I love my Sunday Mimosas and knowing that when I need to relax, take a break from reality, and want to be pampered...Blue Lotus is the place I need to head to. I want to thank Melissa and her staff for giving our area this wonderful spa escape and we appreciate all you do for your customers.

Provided by YP.comFrom the moment you walk into this establishment your pampering begins. You are greeted in a friendly manner while tranquil music plays in the background. The place is very clean and the staff is very accommodating. There is a separate room where pedicures are given which adds to the appeal. There is a large selection of nail colors to choose from and also a large selection of gel colors available. Complimentary massages are given with every manicure or pedicure, which makes your visit relaxing, especially while enjoying a glass of wine, I for one, will keep coming back to Blue Lotus.

Provided by YP.comMy mom and I go to Blue Lotus every two weeks for our gel color manicures. The service and quality of our nails are excellent. The owner, Melissa, is a wonderful, pleasant woman. Upon arriving, you browse through the large selection of colors. During your pampering, you are offered either red or white wine, coffee, tea or water as well as a fabulous massage from one of the guys. I would highly recommend Blue Lotus to everyone. I know that I will not be going anywhere else. Thank you all for your wonderful service and work.

Provided by YP.comThis is just the most wonderful place I have ever been to. I have literally brought everyone I know to this place. Everything is about service and Melissa is absolutely terrific. I only come here on Sundays when visiting family and friends due to the fact that I live in Hartford now but every weekend I'm down here I come to get that spa pedicure and the hour massage. The MIMOSA taste so good and its complimentary which I never experienced at any other spa. I own a consulting business in Hartford and I try to convince Melissa to open one up in Hartford but she keeps saying it's too far supposedly all the workers come from New York. MELISSA, THERE IS NO OTHER PLACE LIKE THIS - IT'LL BE WORTH IT!!!

Provided by YP.comFOR THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF AT LEAST EVERY OTHER WEEK I HAVE BEEN GOING TO BLUE LOTUS. I STARTED OUT WITH A GIFT CERTIFICATE FROM MY CHILDREN, WHICH HAS BLOSSOMED INTO A REGULAR APPOINTMENT ON MY CALENDAR, ONE I LOOK FORWARD TO VERY MUCH. I HAVE WORKED IN THE HOSPITALITY INDUSTRY FOR MOST OF MY LIFE, TAKING CARE OF OTHERS BUT NOT COMPLETELY TAKING CARE OF MYSELF. I TRULY VALUE THE ATTENTIVENESS GIVEN TO ME FROM THE MOMENT I WALK IN THE DOOR. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. I HAVE OVER THE PAST YEAR AND A HALF FOUND MY "TEAM" WHOM I BOOK WITH REGULARLY. MOST RECENTLY ADDING ESTHER WHO HAS GIVEN ME TWO OF THE BEST FACIALS I'VE EVER HAD. SHE'S FRIENDLY, INFORMATIVE AND DOES A WONDERFUL JOB! THANK YOU FOR THE EXPERIENCE, IT'S MY PLEASURE TO WALK THROUGH THE DOOR EACH AND EVERY TIME KNOWING I WILL BE TREATED SO WELL.

Provided by YP.comI have been going to Blue Lotus for three years now! My boyfriends mother got me a gift certificate and I thought "Well I'll try it..." Who would have thought that I would be in love wuth the place! Melissa has made me feel so welcomed since day one!!! They greet you by name when you walk in, take your coat and even phone to accomadate you. Offer you wine or tea or whatever it is that you choose. The pedicures are a bit more than most spas but so worth it. the scrubs are awsome and the chair massages are HEAVENLY!!!! I cannot say enough about Jay...he is a wonder reflexologist and a perfect way to end a busy work week!!!! I have brought my mother, collegues, and closest friends. I would reccommend this Spa to any one who is in this area or just visiting!!!

Provided by YP.comI've been going to Blue Lotus Nail Spa for over 3 years and have NEVER been disappointed. I go every 2 1/2 - 3 weeks for my color gel manicure and it doesn't matter who does my nails, they are always meticulous and take their time. I never feel rushed, even if I'm there til after they close and are getting ready to leave. Their complimentary massages are great, but I usually get a 10-15 minute chair massage just to prolong my relaxation. I thoroughly enjoy their Silky Milky pedicure that comes with a 15 minute foot & leg hot stone massage in a dark, candlelit private room underneath a cozy blanket. I have brought more clients with me that still go there and love it as well. Many a Sunday morning I have spent with friends getting a pedicure while sipping a mimosa, or having a glass of cold, crisp white wine while have my color gel manicure done after a long day at work. I am loyal to Blue Lotus, Melissa and her staff, and in return, they treat me very well. There is no other salon in the area that even comes close.

Provided by YPmobileI honestly must say I was pleased as soon as I walked in. this service is amazing I just wish the pedicure massage lasted more than two minutes considering I'm paying $38 for a manicure and pedicure. What ticked me off was When my manicurist Esther asked me to pay before she painted my nails which is common sense I must say, she comes back and says tip me now. I never in my life heard anyone asking for a tip and I am in the spa industry. Anyway I just told her I'm going to be here for a while I'll just tip you when my nails are dry. as I went to the cash register to make some change all of a sudden you hear her screaming across the salon I'm here I'm here!!! Can I just say money hungry

Provided by YP.comMy wife suggested I go with her for a pedicure. The experience was good..... up until the end. The girl indicated she was thru and I attempted to get my socks on. When I crossed my leg, there was wax (whatever) left over on my leg and it all came off on my pant leg. It should have been taken off before I put my socks on. Anyway, I washed the pants and the stain does not come off. I went back to the Spa and spoke with someone who said they are not responsible. I am now out a good pair of pants because they did not take off the wax from my leg. That is not a way to run a business.

Provided by YP.comI used to go to Lotus religiously. I was there AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK for months! The prices were good. The service was good. I was content until the luxury tax came into plan and Melissa unreasonably raised the prices. She said it was to compensate for the tax but a $5 increase on a preciously $10 service I don't think is right. $28 for their version of a pedicure is completely outrageous. I go downtown to a much less fancy shop and spend $18 for an amazing pedicure everytime and it's a place where I really feel they value my business. I have seen 3 different owners at Blue Lotus...gone there for years. It really disappoints me that they are now the most expensive place in Shelton; a town where "spas" are at least 1 every 1/2 mile.

Provided by YP.comWOW!! First, let me say that my family have been here for 25 years. I have went to every nail place since they started opening up here for the past 7 years. This place is AWESOME. I went there for a spa pedicure and they really give you that spa pedicure experience!!! I live in Manhattan now and when my mother said that I should go with her to this place, I expected anything less. Karen , who was my girl, took care of me like if I was royalty and my mother had a smile on her face the whole time with her eyes closed! She is the most pickiest person in the world and she was so relaxed, I was shocked. Then I was so impressed that they knew her name and spoke English, I was amazed!! They gave you a beverage and they made sure that you were taken care of from the beginning to the very end when they all shouted " Thank You". I was so impressed tha I have bragged about it at my company of how things are at Connecticut rather than the places in New York. I think that tihs place is awesome for everone who lives here and to make an impresson on everyone who don't .

Provided by YP.comAfter I told the manicurist that I was getting a manicure, she looked around, walked to the back where the pedicure stations are, sat back down with her client and never even said a reply as to how long the wait was going to be. I sat for about another 5 minutes, got up and walked out. No-one even said, "Ms. I am sorry for the wait, but someone will be with you in a few minutes". I will not patronize this OVER-PRICED business. Ladies and gents you can get a true and better "SPA" experience at a spa that actually hires PROFESSIONALS and not family members who are trained. I wonder where all of their cosmetology licenses are located.

Provided by YP.comFor $25 you can get a great 10 min pedicure! A quick foot soak, a buff with a sponge, a nail trim (even if you ask for your nail not to be trimmed) and polish change is a pedicure? It can be at Blue Lotus if you get tech Karen. Even if you request a better service and talk to the manager. The spa is lovely but just not expect a real pedicure. I think, they offer a very low price and try to up sale, if yo do not take the up sale, you get bad service. Be aware.

Provided by YP.comI went last week for the first time with my friend. We both got spa pedicures and manicures and they were by far AMAZING! I have tried tons of pedicure places in the area, but Blue Lotus by far blows them out of the water! The price is extremely reasonable, and the treatment we got was fantastic! We were served drinks, they were extremely friendly and personable, took their time, and truly went above and beyond for the price. The timing for everything was great and when you were "waiting" or drying you were getting a massage. My favorite was the end in a big comfy chair, candles and dim lights, big fuzzy blanket, and a 15 minute massage until you were dry and ready to go home! Seriously?!? Not sure what any of the other people are talking about when they say it wasn't good. By far FANTASTIC!

Provided by YP.comThe only reason I ever go here is because of their coupons or discount days. The owner is completely rude and despite her bragging to me about her family's long history of running business- has zero business savvy. They are always under-staffed and even if you have an appointment you have to wait. Another big problem with this salon is they do not ask for ID for their wine tastings or mimosa days. There is nothing special about this salon. The only positive is their male masseur. He is very good.

Provided by YP.comI got my car serviced at the Honda dealer across the street & decided to blow the time getting a mani/pedi. I was the only customer in there and the owner and her daughter (not old enough to work) were extremely friendly. I haven't had a manicure in 10 years and I was amazed by how much it hurt. After I paid I noticed that 3 of my fingers were bleeding. Not just a little. I informed the owner. She had a man put some blue gel on it. She said it was too bad because I came there to relax. No offer to fix it or discount. It's a week later 3 fingers are scabbed over and one is red, swollen and clearly infected. It's a beautiful place but my experience was unacceptable and the owner didn't seem to really care.
