Sunnyside School provides academic, athletic and recreational programs for students in kindergarten through grade six. The school offers special education classes for students with developmental and physical disabilities. Its curriculum includes math, English, science, social studies and language arts. Sunnyside School also provides music, art and physical education programs. The school s parent-teacher association sponsors several fundraising events and extracurricular activities. It features a library that has a collection of storybooks, textbooks, picture dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, newspapers, and fiction and nonfiction books. Sunnyside School is governed by Shelton Public Schools, which also operates several elementary, middle and high schools. The school district serves students in pre-kindergarten through grade 12.
