LLOYD has been a manufacturer of high-quality pharmaceuticals and nutritional products for more than four decades. The company sells pharmaceuticals for both the veterinary and human health care markets. It also markets veterinary products throughout the United States and Canada, as well as in South and Central America, Australia, Europe and Asia. LLOYD products are distributed through its marketing divisions. The original division of LLOYD, Vet-A-Mix, was founded in 1958 by Dr. W. Eugene Lloyd, who recognized the need for certain pharmaceutical and nutritional products that were not available to the profession. The division manufactures and distributes specialized nutritional supplements and pharmaceuticals. LLOYD Laboratories was formed in 1988 to research and provide injectable anesthetics and sedatives and reversing agents to veterinarians. The company also has a third division, LLOYD Pharmaceuticals. LLOYD maintains a location in Shenandoah, Iowa.
