Phil is an excellent painter. He returns phone calls, offers to come out and look at the work, provides a proper proposal, shows up on time and does a great job. You can’t go wrong with Phil. I’ve known him for many years and recommend for any painting project.

2023 update: We've worked with Phil a number of times since we first hired him back in 2018. The latest job included painting our whole primary bedroom. Phil did a lot of patching to fix up the walls and get them ready for the new paint. The results look beautiful! And once again, Phil was a pleasure to work with.

Original 2018 review: We hired Phil to touch up our exterior trim, re-stain our doors, and patch some damaged wood. He was great to work with from start to finish. He was knowledgeable about what needed to be done, and meticulous about making everything look nice. The trim looks great -- our doors look especially good.

On top of that, Phil was always cheerful and friendly. He accommodated our work schedules as needed. We'd definitely hire him again.

For small jobs this fellow is great. His prep work was meticulous and he gave a good time & price estimate and stuck to it

Philip does an excellent job and charges a very reasonable rate. He goes above and beyond, fixing little things that are beyond the scope of the project. Highly recommended.

I hired Philip to remove mold from a ceiling in our guest house, also paint ceiling and walls. He was very professional, showed up on time, he covered everything with plastic before he started and did a wonderful job. He is very friendly, has a great attitude and I would absolutely recommend him to a friend.

I needed to find a painter asap and Phil responded to my call immediately and made time to visit our business right away. He did an excellent job painting a gate outside and we immediately hired him for a larger project inside. Phil pays attention to detail and takes his time to make the job look nice instead of just throwing on a coat of paint. We will definitely keep him in mind for future projects. On top of all of this he is very nice and has a great attitude!

literally above and beyond all expectations. this man shows up on time or early and does a precise and gorgeous job. also, he is a complete sweetheart. very friendly and has a great since of humor. i cannot sing his praises enough! =)

Phil was extremely knowledgeable. He definitely knows his stuff. I went ahead and had him encapsulate an acoustic ceiling with "mud" even though I had misgivings, but just as he said, it turned out really well, and he did a great job painting the room, too. He doesn't cut corners and takes his time. He was good about arrival time and would text me if there were any changes.

I was drawn to Phil by his storefront ad proclaiming "No Job too Small." We had a lot of painting to do and Phil was open to doing the job in phases. He was very agreeable and gave us a lot of insights as far as to paints, sheens and prep.

We are now done with phase 1 on 3 and so pleased. My downstairs office and media room look like a new house! He does a careful job prepping surfaces and put three coats on some of the walls and I have to say, it made a big difference. He pointed issues with our house and what he could do about it.

Phil is timely , considerate of our house/family, leaves a tidy work site (always some mess with a painting job-but he is very conscientious) has sound advice/takes direction well, does beautiful work and met our agreed timetable. Listen to his advice, he knows what he is talking about.

For a thorough/professional job at a competitive rate, someone you are comfortable having in your house and whose advice you can trust, give Phil a call.

Philip did a great job on our house, which needed some painting as a preliminary to the installation of rain gutters. He is very knowledgeable, diligent, and friendly, his bid was the most reasonable, and he performed the work without any delay. Aside from preparing and painting the eaves carefully, he spotted other necessary painting and repairs, did that work for us, and gave good advice regarding the general condition of the house. I don't think you could find a better painter to carry out the work for which we hired him.

Phillip Michael Painting is my favorite painter in the San Fernando area.He has been doing great work in my area for decades. He knows his trade and his attention to detail is second to none. In fact he is coming out to help with the restoration of our Ranch house.

Philip just finished with our living room/ dinning room areas and he did a lovely job. He was on time and worked long days until he finished the job. We would definitely recommend him to friends and use him again when we paint other rooms.

Amazing! Philip Michael is a painter who shows up on time and works continuously until finished. His work is impeccable, and he goes out of his way to minimize the inconvenience to occupant. Daily clean-up, with tarps up and furniture replaced if possible. He made it a (well, almost) pleasant experience. Recommended unqualifiedly.

Phil did our great job with our new home. We're super happy with it. He painted four rooms, all different colors and he couldn't have been easier to work with. He even went the extra mile and patched up several stress cracks in the walls before he started. He was on time, very personable and did exactly what he said he was going to do and more! And he's very affordable!

We have used Phil 5 times over the last 8 years. He is the best, he truly cares about his work product. Everything always looks great (I am very picky), and he often finished earlier than expected. He is the only painter we will ever use.

Phil gets a FIVE star rating by this perfectionist. He's the best painter I've ever used in over 53 years as a homeowner. Phil did a great job painting my living room and adjoining areas. His experience showed in his attention to detail and his genuine desire to have the end result be the best it could. The walls and ceiling needed a good amount of patch work, etc and it was all handled well.

Phil was a pleasure to have in my home for a few days. He is fair, on time, and has the work and business ethics that we all hope to find in the people we hire.

I would definitely hire Phil again if I decide to paint other parts of my house.
