Dr. Smith was born and raised in Central Illinois. He joined Lincoln Surgical Associates in August 2021 as a general and foregut surgeon. He works at Memorial Hospital Belleville, Memorial Hospital Shiloh, and St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon. As a foregut surgeon, Dr. Smith uses minimally invasive procedures to treat conditions including GERD, paraesophageal hernia, hiatal hernia, gastroparesis, achalasia, jackhammer esophagus, Barrett's esophagus, gastric cancer, and refractory ulcer disease.
