UPDATE 3/17/15:
Since my initial review, the owner of Straight Line has come out to our home to meet with my husband and I. He did a walk through with us and went over the timeline of events and items where things fell short during the project. I appreciate Mr. Borba's time and concern and felt that he really desired to find out where things went wrong and how he could implement improvements within his company to prevent these problems in the future, especially regarding communication between Straight Line and their customers. I respect the fact that our satisfaction was a priority to Mr. Borba and that he took the time out of his schedule to make things right. If it was not for the fact that the work turned out okay, I would have given straight line a one star review. Their communication practices are awful; the right hand does not know what left hand is doing. The project manager is a total salesman and doesn't stay in touch throughout project. It appears that his interest went out the window as soon as we signed on the dotted line. The job has been done for about a month and he has not called once (nor has anyone else with the office) to check on our satisfaction of the job completion, but of course we got an invoice within a couple days of the job completion. To make matters worse, I have been getting emails every couple of days stating that there is a balance due on our account. I have already called and spoke to the office personnel and explained that the balance is being held because the bank is waiting on them to submit their scope of work and that there is nothing else to do on our end. The lady in the office stated that she would take care of it, yet I continue to get emails. It is disappointing that the only follow up received was to ask us to release payment, but not to ask us how everything turned out. Overall, the work turned out okay, so I give the workers credit for that, but between the office personnel and the project manager and horrible communication, this whole project was much more stressful than I would have expected from a company that the project manager states gets five star reviews across the board. A couple of times someone in the office would call me to relay a message that she was supposed to relay the day before so that we could prepare (example: lock chickens in the coop for the day so they would not be in the way). By the time I actually got the call, it was a day too late and the work crew was already at the house. We gave the paint colors to the project manager as he requested, and then someone in the office would call me later to ask me for the colors indicating that she was never given the paint colors by the project manager. These are just a few examples of what went on before and during the project. Between the horrible communication and the fact that there was not even a follow up walk through done with us at the end of this project, I am very dissatisfied with Straight Line and will most likely not be using them on any of our future house projects.

These men are not only professional and excellent at roofing, but the daily cleanup before they left the house had our neighbors asking if we were selling because the entire landscape was polished to perfection. Straight line inspectors came frequently to see how the work progressed. Once the roof was completed, Brandon came to install leaf guards over the gutters. Another extremely professional job.

Straight Line Construction has done all kinds of work for us over the past 10 years and recently completed a very large and complicated tri-level deck project. Andy (the team lead), Gus, Brian, Johnny and others did an excellent job! They worked hard to ensure a quality and timely project. In addition, in past years Straight Line replaced our roof, repaired siding, installed gutters and installed a solar system. They are very dependable and will work hard to ensure you are satisfied. Great company...prompt and good service! Didn't realize they were located in shingle springs but they drove all the way down to east sacramento to give me a quote on installing some roof vents after getting insulation replaced. Very courteous crew both on site and on the phone. The crew on site didn't leave a mess and the office was easy to communicate with. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We had roof repair work in Cameron Park. A leak fixed, dry rot repaired, and a clean out under cement tiles. Staff was friendly and professional. Workers arrived on time, finished on time, and cleaned up after. Would definitely use them again!

My wife and I needed to replace our old shake roof, get new attic insulation, fix dry rot and install new gutters/downspouts. We went through the bidding process with about 4 companies and decided to go with Straight Line due to the amount of care and detail our salesman, Rob explained. At the quote process, Straight Line seemed to provide the best service and most accurate detail of the work that needed to be completed.
My wife and I really had to keep up with the crew to ensure the work we requested was actually completed. We are very happy with the final product of our roof, gutters and downspouts; but not sure if we would use Straight Line in the future for our projects. When spending over 30k on a big project, you expect the crew to be meticulous and detail oriented; the customers should not have to keep reminding the crew to follow through with their commitments on specific work orders.

We contracted for a new roof, gutters, wholehouse fan and solar tubes. The teams were professional, polite, clean and friendly. Job started on time and took only two days from start to finish. Straightline roofing put a new roof on a rental property we have in Placerville Ca. There were a couple of unexpected issues that arose that thier team took care of in a reasonable amount of time and cost. They had the project done within 3 days from the time they started tearing the old roof off till the new roof was on and they were on thier way. Thanks Straightline for a job well done.

Straightline came in with the best price quote of all the roofers in the area. The work they did was amazing. They showed up on a wednesday morning, tore off the old roof, made the necessary repairs and then on Thursday came in, laid down the new roof, cleaned up the entire yard and was done with the entire job in those 2 days.
The new roof looks great and is holding up fine to the already rainy start of the 2015/2016 winter.

Rob helped get all of our needs addressed. We got a new roof in Citrus Heights with new gutters and it looks beautiful. The crew was punctual and all English speaking. They answered any questions we had. Their cleanup process exceeded expectation as they triple checked everywhere to make sure no nails or anything got past their tarps. While my husband was putting up Christmas lights, he noticed quite a bit of dry rot in the eaves and fascia board of our 2nd story roof. My husband didn't want to take it on (lack of time and getting up there in age). Not only was straight line the best price, they were soo professional, courteous and dependable. We were highly impressed with their quality of work; from the start with the initial meeting to obtain a quote to the actual day of the work. After the rather intense wind and rain storms a few months back we found ourselves in immediate need of a new roof. We live in Citrus Heights and the city is pretty notorious for their building inspectors, and the shoddy work of the previous owners meant the inspectors found quite a lot they weren't happy with. We ended up needing quite a lot more work done than expected, but Straight Line got it done fast and even worked with us on the extra costs because they felt bad about us having to spend more than the original quote. All of their crews worked hard and they cleaned up very well. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

Straightline replaced 2 of the skylights on our home in Camino and did an wonderful job. I am so happy with how they came out and their customer service is excellent. Not to mention, the price was about half of what I expected.
