On June 1, 1984, the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home in Shinglehouse was purchased by Kevin J. Dusenbury, Sr., continuing a long tradition of proud service to the Shinglehouse and surrounding areas that was started many years ago by Howard D. Morton and continued by Virgil L. Howard. As we mark 30 years of ownership and service to Shinglehouse and the surrounding communities, our pledge is simple. We will continue to provide the honored and dignified services that we offer to the families that choose our funeral home establishment. With the addition of our son, Kevin J. Dusenbury, Jr., we will be providing the finest in services and facilities that you expect from our funeral home for many, many years to come.
