Provided by YP.comI took a three year old eight pointer in to be mounted. His right brow tine had been broken off due fighting. This buck had a nice even basket rack that was quite tall and wide. Ths buck was still in rut as his neck was noticeably swollen and his right ear torn on outside from fighting. I requested that he be mounted with a right hand twist looking right on alert. Signed contract with a payment due of $395 dollars.
Four years later and with a lot of excuses from Terri, she finally said the deer was ready for pick up. I told her that after that amount of time having gone by, I would only pay $200. That was $200. too much. Her work was poorly done with no ability to capture the essence of this deer in his last moments of life.
First of all I noticed that the form she selected for this mount was incorrect in size for the deer and made him look like an anerexic doe.
The neck is very thin and the rack looks rediculoux on this frame. The ear placement was poorly done, and the snout is too long for its frame size. Over all this mount would possibly be rated as an amiture or first time attempt at mounting a deer. VERY POOR job and to have the nerve to make a client wait four years is very unprofessional to say the least. I would not recommend this studio to even students to learn. Dont go to TJ's Non Typical Taxidermist unless you want to get screwed and end up with a mount only deserv ing to be mounted for display in an out house somewhere up in Alaska where company is sparse. So very dissappointed in the long wait, just to see such pathetic work done on what could of been a beautiful mount representing the nature of this once glorious animal. Knowing what I know now, I would of let the animal pass and live before being humiliated by such careless work full of excusses and reasons for not getting it done on time or correctly. I feel she did this on purpose due to my eventual frustrations mounted against her and yearly confronting her on it. What a waste of money and time, and a life of a glorious animal, that looks now like a pathetic joke, stuck on a wall. Never again,,,,,Terri Keep your full time job and let the professionals do the taxidermy, this is truly not your forte. I will pass the word on to all I meet. Not sincerely yours, David Edge...no stars for you.accept the one the computer makes me give to move on...This review was written by me, not my wife, sorry Lynn, not sure why the PC decided to get you involved. It was words and my review. However, my wife also aggrees to this statement and feels the same about her poor work and professionalism.
