Provided by YP.comI went there a few years ago and the owner screwed me over. Do not buy any equipment from this place as it is overpriced like crazy.

Provided by YP.comThe owner has the personality of a door knob. Real slimy, doesn't keep his word. Sells equipment at a ridiculous premium. If you are living in the Short Hills area, you obviously have a lot of money so he figures he can charge an arm and a leg.

Provided by YP.comI've had a wonderful experience at UADC. The staff and instructors are great; experienced, fun and knowledgable. i've logged about 30 or so dives at this point and my comfort level is all due to the training and assistance I've received from UADC. Support your local dive shop!!

Provided by YP.comAfter taking my open water class here I will never go anywhere else for equipment or classes. My class was small and every student received the personal attention we needed. The instructors and dive masters were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I learned so much from class and pool work to all the equipment set up and uses. I can not wait to take my diving education to the next level at this shop. Thanks to everyone there. You have a great staff.

Provided by YP.comI looked up scuba diving instructors near West Orange, NJ and several came up. After doing my research, comparing costs, and reading reviews I decided Underwater Adventures was the dive shop for me. Everyone I met was very friendly, and the instructors were very patient and willing to do what it took to make sure everyone in the class succeeded. Its unfortunate that I have to move back to Montana. I was looking forward to continuing my scuba education with the instructors I've met. Paul, Steve, Eslin, and Gerry... You guys were great. Keep up the good work!!!!!

Provided by YP.comI paid Underwater Adventures, Short Hills NJ for classes and open water dives last fall, but went to get my certification with someone else on a vacation. As I didn't get certified, I asked the owner Paul Mickel if I could do my dives with them. He tried to milk me for some additional money on a make up class, instead of offering it to me free and taking responsibility for my failure. I did'nt have money so I bailed on this expensive make up course which he offered me so magnanimously. Later after I had saved up the money, I contacted him again saying I was willing to take the course so that I could do the dives with him. He just threw a totally unprofessional hissy-fit and flat out refused to take me for the open water dives, even though I had paid for it.
We recognize this customer's need to be heard in this forum and can appreciate his frustration over not being able to complete the skills during his open water dives. We offered to work with him in a special pool session, charging an amount that would cover our cost for the pool and instructor. Unfortunately, he never kept the appointment, leaving our instructor waiting for him at the pool. We weren't able to accommodate his additional demands, but we hope he is successful as he pursues his certification elsewhere.
