The Parish of Caddo Residential Solid Waste and Recycling Center Division provides a variety of trash collection programs and related services. It operates more than 300 acres of landfills for the deposit of solid wastes. The division offers yard waste and household garbage disposal and transportation services. It additionally maintains over 15 compactor sites that receive various residential refuse, including furniture, refrigerators, hot water tanks, stoves, chemicals and batteries. The division specializes in the recycling of newspapers, cardboards, glasses, and aluminum and steel cans. The Parish of Caddo Residential Solid Waste and Recycling Center Division recycles nearly 23,000 tons of wastes annually. It is a division of the Department of Public Works, which is a part of the government of Caddo Parish in Louisiana.
