Carol Brill Counseling
820 Jordan St, Shreveport, LA 71101
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer therapy that is empowering for teens with adjustment and behavioral concerns. Since "school" is a critical factor for most teens, my connection and experience with public and private schools is a plus! As an Educational Consultant, I work with students who will benefit from professional support to successfully complete high school and enter college. College readiness is my focus - not just preparation. I walk hand-in-hand with families and serve as an advocate for their college-bound kids! Many of my clients desire to be at the top of the competitive pool of applicants to highly selective colleges. Helping these students realize their dreams has been my passion and focus for the past decade. Parents of special needs students benefit from my expertise in connecting to services that are critical to making college a successful experience. Proper educational placement is essential. I understand the unique needs of ALL students! All parents need guidance toward realistic options for a low-stress plan to optimize the college experience for their "emerging adult" children. I enjoy demonstrating problem-solving skills WITH teens but rarely FOR them. As a parent, I understand WHY kids may be unsuccessful in college. My goal is to empower them to reach the next level, using effective decision-making skills and adult responsibility.
