Provided by YP.comShortly after I awakened on Wednesday( Jan 07,2015) morning I began to feel this strange feeling in my chest. I have never had a heart attack before so I
wasn't sure what was happening. I felt some discomfort in both arms as well as my upper back, directly behind my chest. I wasn't feeling good at all and I
thought that I might be suffering from a light heart attack. However, after taking a few aspirins I decided to go to work. I worked about six hours before
calling it a day (painting/drywall contractor). The following day I made the decision to not to go to work and check myself into the hospital for testing and
observations just in case something was amiss. From the moment I checked into University Hospital I was shown kindness, as well as professionalism.
From the ladies who checked me in to the CNAs (certified nursing assistants) who wheeled me around in the wheel chair to the RNs (registered nurse)
that performed numerous tasks (testing and examining) in their efforts to help me in every way they could. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful help that I
received at University Hospital, and I highly recommend it to others.Dr. Summerhall, Dr. Sun, as well as the doctor who gave me the stress test (Echo)
were all very professional and very kind. The RN who assisted me while I was taking the stress test (treadmill running) was unusually kind and patient with
me, as were all the staff in that department. I only wish I could remember their names because they are extra special. It was by far the best and warmest
experience I have ever had at a hospital in my life (I'm 60 years old). I hope this review will help encourage others who might be hesitant to go to University
Hospital because of unpopular reviews written by others. But my personal experience was different and I hope that you will experience the
professionalism, as well as the sincere kindness that was shown to me by the caregivers there. To conclude this review, I just want to say how
appreciative we (my wife and I) of all the health care workers who assisted us in every way, and never showing an attitude while going about their work.
From the doctors and nurses who initially helped me (in the emergency room) to Ms. Sarah and Ms. Jennifer (registered nurses on the second floor of the
hospital) to the wonderful staff in "Echo" where imaging of my heart was done. I personally want to thank Ms. Cynthia (CNA) who showed no small
measure of kindness while pushing me (patient transfer) from place to place while I sat in the wheelchair. There are many others who if time permitted I
would really publicly thank for being such wonderful care providers and caregivers; however, I must conclude this review by saying: thanks University
Hospital and all the wonderful workers who assisted me, and the second floor staff that took extra measures to see that we were comfortable (we spent
the night) and well taken care of. Again thanks, D. R. Thomas
