I have no idea why this is listed as Asain/Chinese. There is not one thing on their menu that could remotely be considered Chinese food. It is a diner with diner food, but they really need up their game in the food and cleanliness departments!

I was at RJs the other day and was immediately "greeted" by one of the waitstaff with the most evil look on her face like she wanted to rip my head off...her name was Jennifer. I even commented to one of the other waitresses about it and she agreed...don't know what I did to turn her so hateful. I turned right around and left that extremely inhospitable environment. My suggestion...hire friendlier staff that make you feel welcomed!

Satisfied & full!

Today was my sister and I first time eating here. The food was very hot and tasty! Our waitress was very polite & nice. She checked with us several times to make sure everything was ok. The prices aren't too expensive. The food was delivered in enough time. There was enough food left to take home which was a plus. So I rate this place 5stars!! We will most definitely be eating here again. Hope it is as good as this time.

I wish I could give this a thi...

I wish I could give this a third of a star.

First off, the food here keeps going downhill and is overpriced. The bathrooms are always filthy and there is usually food on tables, chairs, etc.

But those things I could almost overlook a little bit if it weren't for one particular waitress/cashier that works there. She must be related somehow to the owners of this business because I have no idea how someone could be this rude and still work at the same place. Also, she's an older lady and usually works the night shift...so maybe she's a manager and thinks she can do anything. Either way, I gave them one last chance last night and they blew it.

Let me back up to the first problem I ever had with her last Spring. I tried to make a substitution to a meal and the waitress advised me there was no extra charge. Then, this particular cashier rang me up and charged me extra, even though I advised the waitress told me there was no extra charge. She laughed at me and asked if I expected free food.

The second incident involving this woman occurred last year when we advised our waitress that we needed separate tickets for a group of my out of town relatives and she didn't do that. We didn't figure it would be an issue, as with most restaurants, when we got one ticket. So we went to the register where said cashier was waiting and my mother explained that we needed separate tickets and this woman lost her mind. She started slamming stuff around the register and told us that we needed to make sure we took care of telling our server what we needed before coming to her to check out. My father stepped in and asked if it was really that big of an issue and she told him that she knew how to do her job and it wasn't that hard for someone like him to make sure it was done a little easier!!!!

So last night the group I was with decided to go back there. I hadn't been since the previous situation (which, apparently, happens frequently because there's another complaint on Google about who I think is the same waitress going crazy about a split ticket) because I hate this one particular person so much.

I digress. We were in line waiting to be seated and this same person goes up to a table and the couple orders pie. She dropped her order tablet to her sides and gets an attitude, telling them that if all they wanted was pie, they needed to have gone and sat at the bar. The woman at the table asked how she would have known to do that...was there a sign? And the cashier/waitress told her there used to be (which is a load of &*(&). The waitress then said that there were other real customers waiting to be seated and they were taking up space. The customer at the table finally told her she didn't appreciate being told that her business or order wasn't as important as someone else's and the waitress got mad and just walked off.

I can't believe this woman. I really can't. The icing on the cake with her is that all the while she's talking down to you, she's calling you sweetie and honey and all that bull. I know that must be a crapp job but jeez...drop the attitude -it's just FOOD.

I didn't buy anything there last night-just hung out with my friends since that is where they wanted to be-but I'm never going back again, and it's all because of her. It's so sad that one person can ruin a while restaurant. I hope someone from management reads this.

Never In A Million Years...Again

I had been to Rj's several times over the past few years. Always wonderful food, not so bad service, and cozy environment. I was really craving cheese grits, and buttermilk biscuits. My spouse and I walked in, were seated promptly, and served our drinks in a timely manner. The waitress was friendly and nice. We placed our order and sat there sipping on our apple juice. Our waitress was behind the counter refilling what looked like Tabasco sauce and sneezed into her hand. I didn't really mind that because hot pepper normally does that to you. About five minutes later she wiped her snotty nose and rubbed it on her apron. That still didn't bother me much because i had no need for Tabasco. My problem came when our order came up and she picked our plates up and brought them to our table...still without washing her hands. I instantly let her know that we would like to cancel our order and would not be eating there. She told me that there was no such things as canceling my order and that it would have to be paid for. I told her that there was no way i would pay for something i didn't touch and would like to speak with her manager about her hygiene. She had a change of heart and told us to have a good night. Because of the bad experience I will never visit this restaurant again.

Sorry that someone had such an experience here. I wish they had spoken with me. However, i did have a complaint similar to this and then observed the behavior. This employee is no longer with us due to the unsanitary actions. All employees were counseled about this and required to wash hands after doing anything personal. Also, hand sanitizer has been placed in convenient places for employees to use.
