Republic National Distributing Company is wine and spirits wholesale distributor that was founded in 1996 with the joining of two well-established wholesaler families the Block and Goldring families. In October 1996, they purchased Tarrant Distributing in Houston and Dallas and then bought the Julius Schepps Company in May 1997. An acquisition of Terk in March 2000 completed the solid foundation and long-term commitment to growth by the partnership in the alcoholic beverage industry. A July 2005 merger of all of the partnership s wine and spirits wholesale companies, including Block Distributing Company in Texas, Magnolia Marketing Company in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama; and United Beverage Company in Arizona, paved the way Republic National Distributing taking the name for previously mentioned locations. The growth of the company in the past decade has made it the fourth-largest distributor of premium wines and spirits in the United States.
