As a part of the Office of Public Works of City of Shreveport, La., the City of Shreveport Streets and Drainage Division Streets and Drainage Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair of city streets, alleys, underground drainage structures, roadside ditches and drainage canals within the city. It offers mowing, street cleanup and litter control services. The division provides maintenance service for more than 1,050 lane miles of concrete streets and over 400 miles of drainage canals and ditches. It has nearly 125 employees who include supervisors, equipment drivers, carpenters, administrative personnel, helpers and laborers. The City of Shreveport Streets and Drainage Division also provides grass cutting, litter pickup and herbiciding solutions.
