SporTran is a public transit system for Shreveport and Bossier City, La. The company has a fleet of more than 50 modern buses equipped to handle all passengers, including those with disabilities. Its buses are equipped with emission reduction systems, and it also has experimental dual-fuel hybrid buses. SporTran s service covers more than 15 routes that reach the vast majority of Shreveport and Bossier's shopping, educational, and medical facilities. In addition to lift-equipped buses, SporTran offers a curb-to-curb service, known as LiftLine, for disabled persons, and its buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts, kneel for easy access, and have special low flooring that allows passenger to roll directly onto the bus floor. SporTran is headquartered in Santa Monica, Calif.
