I am the first open transwoman emergency physician in Louisiana. I came out and transitioned in 2020, and I have been happily and proudly living my truth since. I have decided that I want to have more time with patients, and have opened an urgent care in Shreveport Louisiana. I also provide telehealth, light primary care, and dearest to my heart, gender affirming care. My clinic is a safe space for all, and I bring 18 years of high volume high acuity emergency medicine experience at such places as Charity Hospital (New Orleans), Ochsner Clinic Foundation main campus, and St. Francis in Monroe, most of this as a teaching staff. I am committed to evidence based medicine. Before medical school I was a paramedic, and have a lifetime of continuing involvement in EMS as well. This means I also approach problems differently than most, and I feel that coupled with the happiness and freedom of living as my authentic self, that I have a lot to offer the world.
