Provided by YP.comIn response to the review concerning a wood stove installation not happening because a permit couldn't be pulled because of insurance papers is an absolute lie. We pride ourselves in having all the necessary documents needed to run this business. We are most certainly licensed, insured, bonded and carry an A+ rating with the BBB. We will always be more than happy to provide any customer with copies of the workers comp. We are in the business to make people happy and we do our best to accommodate all of our customers whether they are repeat customers or new ones. Duane Carter

Provided by YP.comHired these guys for a wood stove installation. When it came time to get a building permit I needed a workers comp insurance policy #.......which they couldn't provide because they don't have it! Claim to be a DBA but sent an employee to inspect my chimney who assured me they have required documents. Terrible service.

Provided by YP.comHired these guys to fix a problem with cracked flues. I had a smoke odor inthe upstairs clsoet. They installed flues and patched my smoke chamber but failed to resolve problem. Crew also flooded my kitchen by negligently opening my furnance fill valve, so I cam home to water leaking through the ceiling of my kitchen. They have been difficult to reach post installation and don't seem to care that we are unhappy. I would not use these guys, they send over unqualified young men to do the job, they smoked in and around myhome, came and went as they pleased, leaving myhome unlocked and un attended. They did part of the job and then it had to be redone. Simply not worththe hassle, learn my lesson go with acertified people from the Mass. Guikld of Chimney Sweeps, you will be much better off.
Metro west installed two Foreverflex stainless steel liners for the couple. The first flue lined was for the furnace which didn't give us much trouble despite the awkwardness of the roof line and the height of the chimney. The second liner was to be for the fireplace. We also were to install a Exhausto chimney fan on top of the chimney. When I arrived to do the work days later, the homeowner and I went to the basement to inspect the work done on the furnace flue by the technicians. We saw the refractory cement around the base of the tee section of the furnace liner was cracking from shrinkage and was done sloppily. I immediately pointed this out to the homeowner along with my displeasure about it. I assured him it would be resealed that same day while we were doing the fireplace liner and fan. While doing so a water valve that was sticking out got bumped enough to allow the water to slowly flow eventually overflowing the fill valve. The fireplace liner was installed and the exhausto fan put in place with the electrician scheduled for the upcoming weekend. The owner called me later that night with the bad news about the fill valve. I apologized and asked if we needed Servepro to come out. He told that wasn't necessary, but will have to wait to see how much damage was done after he cleaned up what he could. Two or three days later I met the electrician at the house to help with the ladders on the awkward roof line. The owner and I talked about the overflow and agreed on how the the valve probably got bumped by one of the technicians. The damage caused by the overflow didn't appear that bad , The owner told me he had this happen before on a different valve in another room. He said he could have the same people who repaired the ceiling in that room look at and estimate the repairs in the kitchen. I agreed and suggested he withhold $1500.00 of the balance due to cover the repairs, with the assumption of the balance would be paid minus the repairs. A week or two later he called and said the repairs were to be around $250-$300. Shortly their after I received another call stating that he still has a smoke issue in the upstairs closet. We admittedly had difficulty immediately getting back to the house because of mutual scheduling coupled with bad weather and the busiest time of the year right before the holidays. When the technician did make it to the house he didn't see any obvious reason for the smoke issue and wasn't sure what action to take. After consulting over the phone with myself, we decided to do some further smoke chamber sealing. Days later the homeowner notified me the work the techs did didn't seem to make a difference and he had another company "fix" the chimney. My last contact with them was a phone message I left stating I would like to look at the work my techs did and also any repair another company may have completed for them, I have not heard from him since before Christmas. Both liners and the exhausto fan are installed properly and completely. The smoke problems were not because of the Foreverflex liners installed. I am still more than happy to go back and personally help them. I have a balance due of $1200.00 I Will pay for work performed by another company after looking at and agreeing on work completed to solve the smoke issue. Sincerely Michael Hathaway
