Formed in 1962, Supercon Inc. is one of the leading suppliers of standard and customized superconducting wires and cables in the United States. Based in Shrewsbury, Mass., the firm offers products, such as niobium-titanium (NbTi), niobium-tin (Nb3Sn) superconducting wires as well as copper-nickel alloys used in the manufacture of superconducting switches. The company also develops very small filament (VSF) and high field (HF) niobium-titanium (NbTi) superconductors.
