Provided by YPmobileI love the lunch baskets and sandwiches! Too bad their hours are so unreliable that I never know when I can get anything. No wonder they're not on trip adviser... Looks like I'll be taking my business to trackside.

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I travel 60 miles to get the ice cream offered at this small restaurant in the Town of Sidney. I first had a taste when I was 16 years old (I am now 52), when while on a fishing trip with my then soon-to-be husband, we stopped at a ice cream stand called "Penguin" on State Route 8 in Masonville, NY. They offered the longest list of homemade soft ice cream I had ever seen. I got the strawberry crunch, and no other ice cream would ever taste the same again. Later on they changed their name to the "Country Cream", but still had a "penguin burger" listed on the menu, true to their heritage. The ice cream has now moved to downtown Sidney, at "Treats N Eats", when you can enjoy it all year round. They offer around 60 flavors of unique and homemade ice cream (not like the "chain" ice cream soft flavors!), and although my favorite has forever changed to "cherry walnut crisp" (yum!!!), the ice cream is every bit as good as it was 36 years ago. The staff is super-friendly, and if you would like a great sandwitch platter before an ice cream finale, they have that too. Don't miss it!
