Air Handling Equipment, Inc was founded in 1977 by Bruce Dunaway as a full service air compressor provider. In 1989, Doug Barhorst purchased the business and remains the President to this date. Since this change in ownership, Air Handling Equipment, Inc and it's employees have benefited from many successful years in parts service and sales growth. Continually ranking in the top CompAir LeROI Distributorships, Air Handling Equipment, Inc has received may awards including the designation as a "Gold Distributorship" by CompAir. In a continual effort to provide the highest quality of customer service, Air Handling Equipment, Inc expanded the size of it's facility in 1997. The expansion included the addition of a 55-ton press for air end rebuilds, several new offices, and doubling the current floor space for the Service Department. Expansion continued in 2006 with the addition of the Plant 2 Facility, a 6300 square foot structure housing Air Handling's used inventory and rental fleet. Doug recognized that the strength of his company lies within Air Handling Equipment, Inc.'s people. In this effort, he has developed a managerial staff for the 21st Century. Additionally, each service technician has attended and passed their Factory Certification Compressor Skills Test hosted by CompAir.
