Two people at the bar, maybe 10 on the patio - plus a dog or two - @ 4 pm on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Two in my party, beer savvy, ready to "play and pay," so to speak. Three servers, 10-15 minutes to get acknowledged, then another 5-10 minutes to get water and our first beer order in. Sign says 40 beers on tap, but my first choice was thought to be not available. First two beers perfunctorily placed on the table without mention of taking our food order. Finally get to order and get the food served - fish and chips - order two more beers halfway through, both of which were once again pefunctorily placed on the table - this time by a completely different server - and then NOTHING for 45 minutes, well after it was (or should have been, based on the napkins and silverware in the plate) obvious we were done with our food. Took another half hour or so to have our waiter bring the bill - and this only AFTER having to waive him over - and then another 20 or so minutes to finish the transaction. Some $60 and no less than THREE HOURS later and we were finally done. And all that for beer that I can get in bottles and enjoy at home without the attitude and bad service. Maybe not the same as on tap, but certainly beats being overcharged and underserved.

This is my favorite pub. Period. There are many excellent beers on tap, they host belgian beer festivals, and they have the best fish and chips this side of the pond. Go there - you'll be glad.
