Bank of America Credit Card

I signed an agreement to have a 20,000.00 business card issued to me only. By signing the agreement it made me the guarantor. The agreement clearly states additional names must be requested on company letterhead signed by authorizing officer. Since I am the guarantor, to me, I am the authorizing officer. This agreement also states the card would only be issued if I meet their criteria. The card was issued and sent to the business address, general delivery. It was activated and used by the sec/treasurer without my knowledge or consent. The card had my name on it. Regardless, the sec/treasurer did not inform me the card was there. Instead he used the card like it was his personal card, using it to go to HI, staying in luxury Hotels, so on and so forth. He was able to keep the facts from me because the card statement is sent out seperately. He made the payments so I had no ideal the card existed. Approx 8 months later I found the card in the top drawer of his desk. I saw my name on it and checked the back. it was not signed. Since I had not activated it and was cutting it up when the sec/treasurer walked in. I asked him when the card had arrived, he stated "several months ago". He also stated B of A had sent him one also. Since he also had good credit I didn't think much about him being issued a card. This happened in about March 2007. I resigned from the company effective 1 Jan 2008. I informed B of A of my resignation and signed the paperwork to have my name taken off the bank accounts. The sec/treasurer continued to make payments on the credit account until he closed the business in Aug 2011 at this time he stopped making payments. B of A then notified me of the missed payments and stated I was the guarantor for both cards. The card has a balance of near 20,000.00. B of A took over two thousand dollars from my personnal account to pay on the card issued. They call and email me often. They have ruined my credit by reporting me as late to the credit monitoring agencies. I have, from the first notification, told them that I did not activate the card or use the card and was not aware of the card until 8 months after the card was issued. The card was sent out general delivery, allowing anyone to receive it, activate and use it. I have filed a fraud complant with B of A which was denied, stating I was aware of the card issued to the sec/treasurer. True, I was aware of it but not who the guarantor was, or rather, who B of A considered the guarantor. I did not request any additional cards and B of A has no record of who authorized the additional card. The B of A fraud department sent me copies of the credit card statements from day one showing the card issued to me was activated and used. I have filed a criminal complaint against the sec/treasurer and forwarded a copy to the fraud department at B of A. The representative from B of A fraud department, who sent me the copies, will not return my calls to her although I have left messages it was very important I speak to her. I have spent many hours on the phone talking to B of A. I am now speaking to their highest level of the collections department, before the credit amount is written off as a bad debt and sold to a collection agency. This means I will have to start dealing with, still, someone else. B of A has changed the mailing address for the company to my home address. Now I get the company statements, which according to their privacy policy, they say they will not share financial information. I am no longer a part of the company and B of A knows that. It is my impression that B of A does not care, they just want their money regardless. Be very careful when dealing with Bank of America, don't let them rush you though the process like the previous reviewer. There is no way you can read all the paperwor...
