Provided by YP.comMy ferret has a swollen leg, possibly broken, made an appointment with "the exotic pet vet" come to find out they didn't even know I was brining a ferret!!! No one in the office knew how to handle a ferret. The vet was unprepared, under educated and haggled the price of the xray ($150)with her technician in front of us, only to find out it is almost $20 more than the vet told us ($167 for one xray?!) An additional $75 for each additional xray needed (2 may be needed) which they said is highly probable. Even after all of this I won't even have treatment for my ferret because they will need to refer me to a specialist! That's why I made an appointment here in the first place. I am so displeased with the quality of service and knowledge that was displayed today, I will never be back, and I will let everyone know of your awful prices! I will be taking my ferret to a vet who is better equipped. Worst $25 I have EVER SPENT! AND MY FERRET IS STILL IN PAIN!!! the vet wouldn't even prescribe something for the swelling. Save the trouble take your sick pets to a REAL clinic!!

Provided by YPmobileThis place knows they have pet owners captive, since choices are slim in the area. My dog had a fracture for that it cost 416+ and I returned in two weeks so they could see how things were going, yep another 416+ dollars. These people charge whatever they want since they know there's no place else to get service/care for your animal. Isn't there an association that regulates this type of thing. They are polite and sem to care but I did not care for the cable around the neck even though my pet had a coller.

Provided by YP.comMy pooch, Shadow, developed an ear infection. When I found it, it was getting pretty bad. I called Pam Brambert (local Vet) but they advised they only do Spay/Neutering and Vaccinations. The receptionist said that I would have to find a Vet in town to treat Shadow. I used to use Apache Animal care, but when VCA bought them, the level of care and compassion for a given animal sharply declined, while their prices shot through the roof!
Due to the apparent seriousness of Shadows infected ear, I called Coronado today. They took Shadow right in. Of course they did! The estimate they gave me for "sedation" (he's a big boy) and cleaning his ears, a swab of the ear canal, and for medicine was $229.00. Believe me, that is the LAST time I'll take ANY animal there, and I HIGHLY recommend finding a Vet in Tucson or ANYWHERE else for that matter! Despite the Staff being cordial, this Clinic KNOWS they have a captive audience in this area and they charge accordingly. The other comments are true in this review as well. Shadow had a collar and leash, yet the staff opted to place a nylon rope noose around his neck to walk him with, and the tech jerked the leash when she was trying to leave the room with Shadow. He was simply trying to turn his head to see why I wasn't coming with him! He'll recieve his treatment today, however in the future, I'll find another Vet. In the mean-time, I HIGHLY recommend that someone considering treatment or any other care for their pets carefully research before committing and taking their business to Coronado!
