The Parks and Leisure Services department provides a variety of recreational, cultural, educational and entertainment activities. It also offers athletic and health-promoting activities for people of all ages. The department provides leisure, recreation and sport programming; parks, ballfield, traffic island and landscape maintenance; and budget, transportation and research services. The Parks and Leisure Services department also offers Kid's W.O.R.L.D., which is a before- and after-school enrichment program. The department organizes leisure classes, trips, leagues, concerts and family activities. It is a part of the City of Sierra Vista government, which operates human resources, police, public works, community development, fire, customer and administrative services, billing and finance, and communications and marketing departments.
