Provided by YP.comnot sure where to start., so I will start at the beginning.
I purchased a condo, and looking to refinance. I was talking to Michelle Knickman @ First State Community Bank. She informed me she can refinance me no problem., but I need a floor put in, all that was there was a concrete slab, and you need it done now. I took off from work another few days, and went shopping for a floor, found Stans Carpet, oh my., people had such nice things to say, plus good deal. Several people said good christian family. They have the best workers...blah blah.
I told the lady I have to go back to work, so i will be gone. My friend will have the check and she will be there to let them in. any problems call me, I am kinda picky.
Told her I do not want a transition strip, bcs I am a clutz and I always trip over them. I said is this a problem, ‘no,’ she replied we have the best. Then I said I want it under baseboard. She said ‘we have the best carpenters.’ I felt good, my place was spotless for the new floor I ended up going with Ponderosa Birch Yuma, now I know nothing about flooring, they told me had to be glued.
I had left check with friend., off to work I go,
Came time for the floor, I received several call about the trim in front of my doors going out to the balcony. have to charged me $40 for it.
my friends checked the floor said all was great, perfect, the floor is beautiful.
so they received their check
Later my mother came to condo. Told me the bathroom was a mess, someone had pee all over my bathroom floor, long story on that: took her 2 days to clean my place up, wasn't dust or dirt from cutting wood. it was grown men not being able to hit the toilet.
I got off work a few days and went home...so excited to see my new floor, sleep in my bed.
1. I came in as soon as you walk unto the wooden floor I tripped over a hump in the wooden floor..
2. I noticed all my baseboards: tore up, back leaving big gaps in the corners. one was hung back leaving ½ gap between the floor and baseboard
3. I noticed the gap from the wood floor and the tile...not straight at all...not even ½ way pretty.
so I called them after I calmed down. she said will send Glen out there, so I took pictures. and emailed them. they informed me they did receive the pictures and he will be out there to look at it within the mo.
so yesterday I received a call from Stans, telling me: the baseboards were cut like that and filled with caulking.
and the hump in my floor is like that bcs of a hump in my concrete.
I did some checking and calling around, this is what I found out., gluing a wooden floor on concrete is a NO NO
about the hump: that would have stuck out like a sore thumb, a flat board going over a hump, 2 things should have been, 1st: phone call to me., then I would went with feathered/grinded then boards put down. which would have taken time.
baseboards: again, should have received a phone call about the caulking.
that was all done and said on 8-11-14, and also sent email to company.
I will keep all posted with what happens next, and some pictures
FYI: after all this., “NO,” I DID NOT GET LOAN!
