My goal is to facilitate a personal, deeply felt and abiding sense of resiliency and psychological integration. Clients report finding the ability to thrive, an renewed sense of belief in oneself, and a greater ability to more fully utilize innate gifts and creativity. Clients express experiencing a healing sense of wholeness and psychological integration as they address symptoms. Clients address symptoms of depression, anxiety, low self esteem, dissociation, poor impulse control, PTSD, and how to rebuild emotional resiliency after experiencing relationship difficulties, developmental issues, psychological trauma, and effects of domestic violence, abuse, sexual assault, and the cycle of power and control. A client-centered humanistic approach to address trauma, and emotional issues using relationship based techniques from Play and Rogerian therapies describe my therapeutic outlook. My experience counseling battered women at a women's shelter, El Refugio, Silver City, NM, and parents & children & couples in family practice shapes my therapeutic style.
