I have taken my dog, Aussie Shelpherd/Border Collie mix, to this clinic for 8 years now. Dr. Wilmeth and staff are kind to the animal and to me. When there was a small issue needing surgery, the dog was taken in fairly soon, and the surgery and healing went very well. I have had nothing but good results and care with GAC.

Ever since the office manager, Diane, left, the new front desk person has been rude, abrupt and uncooperative. She tries to do much of the diagnosing and prescribing that she's not qualified to do. I'm considering taking my pets elsewhere.

I was referred to Dr. Paul Wilmeth almost two years ago when I needed an emergency vet for my neighbors cat. He stayed after hours, was competent and compassionate. Last year we got a new dog that needed shots and neutering and my old dog needed to have tumors removed. Again 5 star care. This week I took my old dog in for an emergency and he provided the best care possible. He will be my vet as long as he is in the practice. I drive 2 1/2 hours to the clinic from my house.

I have been to other clinics in Silver City and they would rather you pay up front and see your animals die if you do not have the money, Gila Animal Clinic have seen plenty of my Dogs and have taken good care of them with a payment plan, please for everyone that is needing animal care and cannot pay in full, arrange a payment plan with them and please pay them on time so they can continue to care for our animals. Find care elsewhere. We brought in a beautiful perfectly healthy puppy for its first shots and 3 hours later, she was dead. Broke my daughter’s heart and the family as well, because she had the best personality of any dog. I called the vet and got the uneducated silver city reject on the front counter who could not have been any more rude or uncaring. She claimed that it was impossible that the vaccines had anything to do with the death of the puppy. Instead of letting me talk to the vet, she gives me her stupid opinion. The vet called back and said it was anaphylactic shock from the vaccines. Do you think he even offered to refund us the cost of the visit? No! Take your pets elsewhere.
